Importing Public Domain Images with Picassa

Below you’ll find a quick video on how to strip the images from a zip file or folder of a public domain book or magazine….anything that has separate image files. This is done by using Googles free image analyzer, sorter and editor called Picasa It’s a pretty cool tool and the technique shown in the video is new to me.

I guess you can learn something about public domain works and how to manipulate them every day :)

The author of the video, downloads a couple of books for project gutenberg and then extracts the images from the download….pretty cool way to scarf up those new images. I’m going to have to give it a try.

By the way, search for this video, grabbed it and dragged it into my post using Video Utility Poster. It took me less than 3 minutes to view the video, write the short into and place in the post….you can do it too……its a fantasic tool for blogging.
